From Humble Beginnings to Innovation:
Oscar’s journey began with humble beginnings in Puerto Rico where he faced challenges that fueled his drive for success. Raised amidst adversity, Oscar´s early life instilled in him a drive to create positive change.
Moving to East LA provided Oscar with opportunities to break barriers and pursue education and career advancement. His early career included roles at Fortune 100 companies where he ‘cut his teeth’ and co-founded initiatives for underserved communities. Notably at AT&T, Oscar played a leading role in establishing the first call center & e-commerce dedicated to Latino customers. He co-led launching initiatives like Wildfire (before Siri and Alexa), an innovative project that revolutionized customer engagement. Oscar´s tenure at Bank of America working with the Innovation Lab further showcased his commitment to technological advancement. He was instrumental in implementing the world´s first fully automated ATM, a groundbreaking technology that dramatically enhanced productivity and operational efficiency, setting a new standard in the banking industry.
Oscar´s passion for inclusive technology solutions became evident during his tenure at Tricolor. He co-led the implementation of a first of its kind technology-driven loan recommendation system. Achieving tremendous results and setting new standards in the industry while serving a community forgotten by traditional banking. He also proudly served as a founding executive of Costco´s wireless division (Wireless Advocates). He successfully launched and co-managed the program making it the second most profitable non-food product for years.
Oscar’s AI Leadership and Entrepreneurial Success
After 2 successful exits, in late 2023, Oscar co-founded his third company, Generative AI LLC, known as The Gen AI, a leading agency specializing in AI implementation, education, automation, ethics, and advisory services. Under his leadership, The Gen AI has become a trusted partner for organizations seeking innovative AI solutions that drive sustainable growth and ethical practices.
The Gen AI is also deeply committed to giving back to the community, working closely with some of the country´s largest Hispanic chambers of commerce and higher education institutions. Creating and mentoring future AI innovators and their AI Labs These efforts include providing pro-bono AI advisory services, supporting small businesses, and facilitating educational workshops to empower underserved communities through technology.
